The art and science of communication

People in organizations usually spend 75 percent of their daily time on communication through writing, reading, listening, speaking, inter-debate etc. Effective communication is an essential component for organization success, whether it is the interpersonal intra group organization or external levels.
The ability to send the appropriate message in an assertively way, to give and receive feedback, de-escalate emotions, to persuade others represent competencies equally important as technical competencies required for successful accomplishment of a business, job, or task.

Learning outcomes:

• Recognize how assumptions contribute to misscommunication
• Support your message with appropriate body language
• Speak assertively without being aggressive
• Give positive and negative feedback effectively
• De-escalate emotions when communicating in a conflict
• Deal with another person’s anger
• Implement a three-step process for communicating effectively
